May 20th,asthe founding universities of the alliance, fourteen Chinese and foreign universities, includingChina Jiliang University, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhejiang University, Nanjing University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Hunan University, Shandong University, Qingdao University,TheOpen UniversityofGuangdong and Korea Central University, Erasmus University Rotterdam andthe Higher Technical College of University of Quebec in Rimouski, initiated the inaugurating meeting of “theBelt and Road”standardized education and the association of research universities and the first summit of“theBelt and Road” standardized education and research cooperationwhich wereheld in Hangzhou. More than 300 representatives from 105 Chinese and foreign universities (37 foreign universities) attended the conference. The conference passed the "Hangzhou Declaration."

As one of the 14initiating and founding universities, the principal Xia Dongwei represented our schooland attended the conference of alliance founding colleges and the first standing council meeting, as well as the launching ceremony of the alliance.
