On the morning of May 8th, the graduation ceremony of the Spanish double degree of Florida International University-Qingdao University and the American degree awarding ceremony were held at the BoXue hall of International Academic Exchange Center. Xia Dongwei, the president of Qingdao University, and Mark Rosenberg, the president of Florida International University, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. The program of Spanish professional double degree of Florida International University-Qingdao University is the first Spanish-Chinese double degree program approved by the Ministry of Education in March 2013 and the first Spanish undergraduate program featuring “Latin American Trade”. There are more than 60 students enrolled every year, and the total number of students now is 318.
