On the afternoon of March 6th, Fan Yuejin, the Party Secretary and the Principal of Qingdao University met with Ding Yixian, the International Affairs Secretary, Shen Xuanyin and Li Yitian, Cross-Straits exchange workgroup of National University of Kaohsiung in room 320 in the office building.

Fan Yuejin briefly introduced the developing situation of Qingdao University and fully affirmed the achievements of exchanges between two colleges. He extended gratitude for the help and cares given by National University of Kaohsiung during students of Qingdao University studied in Taiwan. He said that the two colleges could strengthen cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific research, teacher exchange, etc. so as to promote bilateral cooperation and exchanges in preponderant disciplines. Qingdao University is preparing for the 2017 Cross-Straits Forum of University Presidents.

Ding Yixian introduced the basic situation of National University of Kaohsiung and spoke highly of the development of Qingdao University as well as the exchanges and cooperation between two colleges.

Before the meeting, the two sides held a discussion in the fields of cultural and educational exchanges, cooperation in scientific research and related matters of Cross-Straits Forum of University Presidents. The persons in charge of the relevant departments attended the meeting. The two sides reached further agreements of building cooperation and exchange platforms, joint training mechanism establishment, increasing the number of exchange students and teachers and scientific research. After the meeting, the delegation of National University of Kaohsiung, relevant personnel of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office attend the seminar with exchange students of Qingdao University.
