Rahul Patwardhan, global CEO of NIIT, visited Qingdao University on the morning of April 7 together with his delegates. Fan Yuejin, President and General Secretary of the Party Committee of the University, met them in the reception office (on the third floor of the Office Building). Vice president Yu Yongming, Member of the Party Committee, also attended the meeting.
President Fan Yuejin congratulated NIIT on its achievements in the innovative development during the past 35 years and also affirmed the achievements of cooperative training aimed to cultivate IT talents through undergraduate education in the past 3 years. He pointed out that the Internet is the deepest technological revolution in the history of human development and still allows much room for development. At present, there is still an enormous demand for talents and great potential in bilateral cooperation. “Further cooperation is not only focused on academic education but also geared towards the society and graduate students through skill training by working with the College of Continuing Education”, said Fan.
Patwardhan said that NIIT has formed a good partnership with Qingdao University and now both sides will discuss how to further deepen the cooperation in two ways. One is to educate professional IT talents together in the college. The other is to work with the government and enterprises to train more IT talents for society. Furthermore, both sides can discuss new training models during the training of relative disciplines and post-graduate education and also explore new online training models through the Internet.
