The ceremony was attended by Zhang Vice Secretary of CPC Committee of UNIVERSITY, Li, Secretary of CPC Committee of SIS, Ma, director of Dept. of Student Affairs, Han, League Secretary of UNIVERSITY, Hu, Vice Secretary of CPC Committee of SIS, and associate professor of SIS Yan, and chaired by Gao, League Secretary of SIS.

The ceremony began with a video filmed and edited by students of School of International Studies, looking back upon the development history of the Festival and showing the audience what’s coming in a series of activities to be held. Since this year marks the 90^thanniversary of Wu Si Movement and the 60^thanniversary of the founding of People’s Republic of China, the Festival will focus on the relationships between “retrospect & prospect,” “academic & life,” “history & reality,” and “China & the world,” with the theme of “love China & care for the whole world.”
